PanelView Standard Course Descriptions


Module 1

Description
This module introduces the student to the PanelView system. It begins with an overview of the PanelView Standard family of operator interface terminals and then moves on to PanelBuilder32 software. Students will also learn the communications and tag database setup within PanelBuilder32 software.

Module 2

Description
This module teaches the student how to organize and lay out screens for a Standard PanelView application as well as how to add and edit objects on the PanelView screen. The student will learn the various standard output objects in the PanelView and the ways in which numerical values can be displayed and changed within a PLC application. Finally the student will learn how to create an alarming system within a Standard PanelView terminal.

RSView Machine Edition / PanelView Plus Course Description

Module 1

Description
The first module of this 3-day course introduces learners to the RSView Studio software and other components of an RSView ME application, including RSLinx Enterprise and the Factory Talk Automation Platform.

Module 2

Description
This module focuses on the creation of operator interface system within the RSView ME software. Learners will use the standard objects as well as the graphics editor to add to and animate a provided project. Skills such as group editing objects, tag substitution and building expressions will be learned.

Module 3

Description
This module builds upon the previous two, introducing learners to some of the mire advanced features and tools avaliable within RSView Machine Edition. This includes RecipePlus and RSAssetSecurity. An optional lesson pertaining to using the KEPware Dataserver software (KEPServerEX) is also available for those using RSView ME with a non Rockwell Automation processor.

RSView32 Course Description


Module 1

Description
This module starts with a course overview of RSView-32 Maintenance. It provides an introduction to RSView-32 Software and moves on to teach the student how to configure an operational Communications link for your project. Students will be able to modify the existing database of tags and edit and configure a Tag Monitor. At the end of this module students will receive a basic understanding of a functional Activity Log, including being able to modify, configure and view logged data.

Module 2 Introduction

Description
After completing this module, the student will be able to edit and create Graphic Displays as well as Animate them. Students will receive a basic understanding of modifying and incorporating Derived Tags in your project by editing and creating them.

Module 3 Introduction

Description
This module begins with streamlining operations by editing and creating Macros and defining clear Symbol Definitions. The student will edit and configure a functional Alarm System, Event Detection and Key Definition Control. To finish, the student will be able to edit and produce functional Recipe Screens.

Module 4 Introduction

Description
This module begins with editing and creating Parameter Files. The student will be able to produce reusable generic displays. Next, the student will edit and configure a functional Data Logger system, operational Trend Displays and then a customized Security System. To finish, you will be Running a Project and be able to set up and verify online operations.
